Calling and phone data tools
for outbound teams.
Calling is a different channel with different economics from cold email, and the tools in this category split into two jobs: finding a phone number, and making the calls efficiently. GrowthPal's own work is email-led, so this category is curated rather than operated.
This page covers where calling sits relative to cold email, the two distinct jobs these tools do, and the six tools in this category.
Two different jobs in one category
Phone data tools find and verify numbers, usually as an enrichment step on a list that already exists. Dialling tools make the calls: queueing, connecting and recording. They are often bought together but they solve unrelated problems, and a good number from the first is worth more than efficiency gains from the second.
Where it sits next to email
Cold email scales in a way calling does not: one operator can reach thousands of contacts a week by email and perhaps dozens by phone. The trade is depth for volume. GrowthPal's published work is email-led, and the numbers on this site — contacts reached, interested replies — are email numbers. Nothing here should be read as a claim about calling performance.
The calling and phone data in the directory
Each take below is GrowthPal's own, written from the operator's side of the desk. They are opinions about fit, not reviews, and they carry no rating. The directory is built from tools GrowthPal uses. No listing here is sponsored, affiliated or paid for, and there is no commercial relationship behind any entry.
| Tool | GrowthPal's take |
|---|---|
| Aircall Review | Cloud phone system for when the team needs real numbers, routing and call logs rather than a dialing sprint. |
| BetterContact Review | Waterfall enrichment for emails and mobile numbers: one request, 20+ sources, and you only pay for valid results. Hard to argue with. |
| FullEnrich | One provider comes up empty. The next one may have it. FullEnrich checks multiple sources for work emails and phone numbers, then verifies what it finds. |
| Kaspr Review | Mobile numbers in Europe, where most databases go quiet. If your market answers the phone in an EU accent, start here. |
| Nooks Review | AI parallel dialer: your reps spend their hour talking to humans instead of listening to ringtones. Cold calling's quality-of-life upgrade. |
| Orum Review | The other AI parallel dialer, leaning enterprise, with deep Salesforce hooks and coaching layers. |
Frequently asked questions
Is cold calling part of what GrowthPal sells?
No. GrowthPal's service is outbound email, and the calling tools listed here are listed here rather than operated. The distinction matters because the economics differ sharply: an email campaign reaches thousands of contacts a week from infrastructure you control, while calling reaches dozens and depends on a person's hours. Where a claim about GrowthPal's own results appears on this site, it is an email result.
Is phone data worth adding to an email list?
Adding phone data is worth it only if someone will actually call. An enriched phone number on a list nobody dials is a cost with no return, and phone enrichment is usually priced per successful lookup rather than per row. The question to settle first is who is making the calls and how many hours a week they have, because that number caps the value of the data regardless of its quality.
What is the compliance position on cold calling?
Cold calling compliance differs by jurisdiction and is separate from email rules. This page makes no statement about it, and none of the guidance here is legal advice.
